Whilst a drone can reach great heights there are certain rules and laws that users must adhere to when flying drones in the UK and beyond. The official UK drone flying restrictions do not allow drones to fly over the height of 400 feet and no further than 500 metres horizontally. This ensures that the drone is still visible at that height. These measures are put in for good reason and can ensure the safety of others. Be warned that these regulations change in certain areas, especially areas that have high levels of air traffic as there are a number of reported incidents of drones getting in the way of other aircraft causing a concern for collisions. It is also important to find out more about where drones have a specific restriction to fly above.
